Shady Oasis
St Andrews
STATUS / CONCEPT DESIGN
This garden is St Andrews will turn a hot, sunny, sloped area into a more usable space.
Trees and shrubs planted on the western side of the property will give relief from the baking afternoon sun. Opposite this a naturalistic rock lined pond with provide habitat for frogs, birds and insects. The garden beds around the existing gazebo will be filled with a mixture of natives, bulbs and perennials in green and silver tones, punctuated with a mixture of black, white and burgundy flowers. The slope will be transcended via steps made from reclaimed railway sleepers. Finally small area of lawn will be planted inviting you to throw out a picnic rug and settle down with a book and a cup of tea.
I will provide regular updates as this project progresses.
